The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has released data as at 31 March 2022 relating to social housing stock numbers and rents.
Highlights of the data are:
- Registered providers owned 4.4 million homes as 31 March 2022
- The number of homes increased by 0.7% from 31 March 2021
- 83% of social housing homes are general needs and
- On average social rents on general needs housing increased by 1.6% in the year to 31 March 2022, compared with the rent increase guideline limit of 1.5%.
