The Building Safety Regulator (BSR), which is part of the Health and Safety Executive, is inviting residents of high-rise buildings to apply to join its Residents’ Panel.
The BSR was created by the Building Safety Act 2022 and is required by the Act to set up a Statutory Residents’ Panel to ensure residents are placed at the heart of the new regulatory regime.
The BSR is seeking applications from current residents of high-rise buildings who would like to be considered for a position on the Panel, which will be a small group of about 20 people from different locations and housing types, including social housing, private rent, and leasehold owners. The Panel will be supported by representatives from relevant organisations. The deadline for applications is 18 November 2022.
